The other day while running into Walgreens for contact solution, I decided to make a quick run down the beauty aisle and stumbled upon a whole bunch of new product displays. There was a bunch a new products from Milani, Maybelline, Jordana, and of course Wet n Wild.
Liquid Lipsticks are like a weakness of mine. I am constantly looking to try out new formulas in hopes that I will find the perfect one. So when I saw that Wet n Wild came out with a new one, I had to try them out and I also wanted to compare them to the Limited Edition ones that they launched last year (POST HERE) which I loved.
The Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick is one of Wet n Wild's new launches for 2017 and is supposed to be a long lasting, super pigmented and comfortable matte lip formula. According to the Wet n Wild website, these are "made with glammed out super powers that glide on glossy and then transform to a high pigmented matte finish with some serious staying power"
Now, having tried Wet n Wild liquid lipsticks before, I had high hopes for these and hope that they are the same formula or better.
Spoiler alert!! They are and I love these just as much as the Limited Edition release.
Currently, there are 13 shades in the range and I picked up two of them. These also retail for $4.99 and can be found at Walgreen and online at the Wet n Wild website here.

Pigmentation 5
As you can see from the swatches and Lip swatches, the color of these are super vivid and absolutely gorgeous. The two shades that I have did not apply patchy at all and apply to the lips super easy. You can also pretty much get full opacity with one pass, which is always a plus. Layering liquid lipsticks can some time make them more uncomfortable, but with these you only need one layer. The color is also true to the tube, there was no oxidation with these at all.Packaging 4
The packaging on this is pretty standard, being a glass jar with a black top and a doe foot applicator. The applicator is pretty nice because it has a pointed applicator that makes putting on the lip color precise extremely easy. It also has a little dip that makes it easy to pick up the right amount of product, because it kind of holds product so you don't need to redip unless you have larger lips.Performace 4.5
OMG!! These have to be the best drugstore formula along with Milani. First, they are pretty comfortable and lightweight, and they dry down on the lips really nicely and there is no stickyness. There is a degree of dryness, but my lips didn't feel like I had cement on them. Second, these are both long wearing and transfer proof. I wore Berry Recognize to a party the other day and it lasts through drinking and eating greasy pizza. Impressed is not even the word! I am obsessed with this formula and will be picking up more colors and replacing these with other brands that I don't love as much. This is definitely worth the $4.99 price tag.New Formula Vs. Limited Edition Formula
I honestly think these are exactly the same. Perhaps Wet n Wild was testing out their formula when they released these in the summer. They are both super opaque and long wearing. There is however a noticeable difference in the price. The limited Edition Liquid Lipsticks were like $2.99, while these new Catsuit Lipsticks are $4.99. I really can't complain though. I really like this formula and think that 5 bucks is fair price.

such a good formula for the tiny price! So nice! The berry is stunning on you, I love the look of it! I don't go for Liquid Lipsticks as much as I thought I would!

Thank you! I had previously start to go back to wearing traditional formula lipsticks, but these have changed my mind.

Thanks foe reading! I cannot wait to pick up a few more shades
DeleteI did Spring makeup lesson this year, so I need to practice a lot to improve my skills. Hearing about my makeup course, my mother bought many items from U.S.A. She bought all of the shades from this collection. I really love them now. All of this shades are so gorgeous and they are must have. WNW have very beautiful shades in this range, with great pigmentation. They are not drying at all, which I love most about them and colors pay off 100%. I will recommend them for sure! <3
