Is there really anything better than a nice nude lipstick? Maybe a nude LIQUID Lipstick.

The New NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid lipsticks are a line of all nude liquid lipsticks. There are 12 shades with the whole entire spectrum of nude from the lightest pinky nude all the way to a rich Chocolate brown nude.

I'm definitely not one to go for a Vampy lip. I typically go with a pink lip or nude brown lip, but today I decided to try something else out.
I also drew some inspiration for my eyes from all of the beautiful cut creases I have been seeing on Tumblr and Instagram. My look is more of a soft cut crease and I finally got to use my Morphe 35T palette that I got from Hautelook before Christmas. I had been debating on this palette for so long,

The day after Christmas is always a relaxing day for me. I usually spend my day shopping and catching up with friends and this year was no different. When I walked into Ulta, I noticed a display

This past Sunday, I was browsing my local paper and saw that Revlon was 40% off at Rite Aid. So of course, the hoarder in me got in my car immediately and went straight there to check out some new products. In the end, the display in my local store was wiped out and I only ended up getting two of the new Ultra HD matte lipcolors.

I absolutely love Stila Cosmetics. I purchased some of their Holiday 2015 collection in November and I have been obsessed with their Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in " Patina" and "Como". So I was more than thrilled when I saw a post on the Stila Instagram page about the Spring 2016 Collection.

The collection features a range of new products like the Aqua Glow Serum Concealer ($27) and Foundation ($45).



The Concealer comes in 8 shades and is described as an ultra-smooth, ionized water based concealer that blends seamlessly into skin for natural-looking, nearly invisible coverage. The luxurious serum texture instantly conceals dark circles, blemishes and other skin imperfections, melting into skin without caking or settling into fine lines.

I am interested in feeling the texture of this to see if it truly has a serum like texture. This item I definitely have to give a try.

The Aqua Glow Serum Foundation ($45) is described as a Radiant, weightless coverage. This is a medium to full coverage foundation that offers a new way to instantly smooth, blur and perfect skin. It also has a radiant finish, which I interpret as Dewy. This foundation comes in about ten shades and the good news is that about half look WOC friendly.

According to the Stila website the benefits include:

So over the holidays, I received the NYX Cosmetic's Unraveled Look Set as a gift and I wanted to have a little show and tell since I finally had some time to play in it this weekend. This is going to more of an informal review since I only got to use the kit twice this weekend.

So I remember around 2006 when I was first getting into makeup and I just wanted to try everything that I could get my hands on and could afford, I stumbled across NYX cosmetics. Does anyone else remember those OG NYX trios and those square single eyeshadows. I swore by those at the time and even in 2016 NYX never seems to let us down with the new product launches.

The day after Christmas, I found myself in Ulta (like a true hoarder) and came across a huge three tier display of new NYX products.

Some of the new 2016 launches include:

 Full Throttle Lipsticks ($6.99)



These lipsticks are a saturated matte lip color that has a special bullet shape that is supposed to help with edging and lining the lips. I ended up picking up the shade "Con Artist" which is a brown toned red. I am still in the testing phase as far as the formula, but I can say that these are super pigmented and is more of a creamy matte.


Ombre Lip Duo ($11.99)


This is actually a really cool concept from NYX. This basically a satin matte lipstick and lip liner duo with paired colors to create a ombre lip combo. From the swatches I took in the store, the formula is super creamy, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend 11.99 on this. I got one just to try and because honestly I just couldn't leave it in the store. I live for a good pink.


They also came out with new shades of the much loved Soft Matte Lip Creams, the Intense Butter glosses and the matte lipstick line.

So here's the thing, I am totally obsessed with watching Youtube beauty videos. I love the hauls, the tutorials, the reviews....Everything. I also look to Youtube to find out about all of the new product launches and I especially love the holiday season because Holiday palettes have a special place in my heart and I usually end up purchasing more than I probably need, but I mean who's counting.

However, after the initial luster of new products wane or the holidays end I find myself not using the palettes like hardly at all. I want to change that (I also want to save some $$) so I'm challenging myself to using and sticking to the purchases I made and getting creative with the things I have already.
