Review : Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in "That Glow" + Swatches

By Trecee Hutchinson - 4:52:00 PM

Today, I want to talk about something that has been all over the Beauty World since they launched in January.

Anastasia Beverly Hills has been killing the beauty game for a while now with her growing line of cosmetics. I absolutely live for the Brow Wiz pencil in "Dark Brown" and her eye shadows are freakin amazing. So when I saw the new Glow Kit, I had to jump on the bandwagon.

I ended up purchasing both palettes, but one was for my friend so I have "That Glow" to review for today.

This palette is the warmer of the two and I figured I would get way more use out of it. Also, I have so many highlighters so I thought that this particular kit would fill a void in my highlighter collection.

According to the Anastasia Website:

Metallic powder highlighters for intense luminosity. Layer shades together or wear them separately on eyes and body. For even more glow, apply with a damp makeup brush.

Availlability: Anastasiabeverlyhills.com or Macy's
Price: $40

Now on to the Swatches:
Left to Right: Bubbly, Sunburst, Golden Bronze. Dripping in Gold

Review:

I will be rating this product 1-5 based on Packaging, Pigmentation and Performance.

Packaging: 3

The packaging is basic cardboard packaging, but is still sturdy. The actual highlighters are huge at .26 oz a piece. They are roughly the same size as a Mac Blush, They are also magnetized and can be put in a Z palette very easily.

Pigmentation: 4.5

LISTEN, these are so freaking pigmented. The colors are also true to what's in the pan which is always nice. A little goes a long way with these highlighters. It doesn't take much product for this to show up on the skin, which is always a good thing for my NW45 skin tone. I got full pigmentation with one swipe when doing finger swatches. I typically apply my highlighter with a fan brush so these were super easy to apply

Performance: 4.5

These perform so well. As I stated above, it doesn't take a lot of product to get a good glow going on. I love all of the colors, but for me the most wearable shades are Bubbly and Dripping in Gold. These two give the softest glow to my skin. I also enjoyed Golden Bronze, I think that I will get more use out of this one in the summer when I am darker and trying to get my bronzed goddess on. These also had really good staying power, especially when using a setting spray.  I got more than 5 hours of wear out of these when worn on a night out.
Another good thing about these highlighters is they are versatile. They can also be used as eye shadow which is always a nice addition.

Final Thoughts:

I would recommend this kit for anyone who loves intense highlighters. These are definitely not subtle although they can be sheered out. They are a good value for the price at 40 dollars for an equivalent of 4 blushes. I also think that this is a good product for anyone who wants to get a variety of highlughters to add to their collection.

I can't wait to create more looks using this kit!!!
