April flew by so fast, but for me it was an awesome month. Festival season has officially started in my city and I have been enjoying being out and about enjoying the amazing weather. This month, I wanted to expand my favorites into non beauty favorites and other random things about me and my life.

 Beauty Products I can't live without...

 

Colour Pop "Telepathy"

This gold is EVERYTHING and then some. I got this as a part of my first ever Colourpop order...I have worn this everytime I dressed up this month.

MAC "All Fired Up"

If you haven't figured it out pink lips are my thing. I got Mac's "All Fired Up" up this month and I love the pigmentation of this and the Retro Matte formula. This red toned pink is popping and I have been wearing it every chance I got this month.

Nyx Cosmetics " Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in "Pink Lust"

Another pink and another formula I love. This has been my go to weekend pink because the finish and staying power is perfect for running errands and brunching.It is a blue toned barbie pink and I have been loving to pair this with and without eye shadow for a serious pop of color.

Wild &Free Baked Eyeshadow Palette

This little palette has been a gem. I picked this up a few months ago when I ordered a few things from the BH cosmetics website and for 8.50 I have been loving this for everyday pops of color. This palette mixed with neutral mattes is so versatile. The shadows are actually really long lasting and can be used wet for a foiled look.

Nyx Ombre Blush in Code Breaker

I have a full review of this blush, but long story short it is super pigmented and gives a nice flush of pink on my cheeks. This is the perfect spring blush for me. When I don't wear eye shadow I have been loving this as a wash of color paired with just mascara and lipgloss.

What I've been listening to...

 

fka Twigs - LP1 came out in 2014 and I still can't get enough of Twigs. Check out Numbers from LP1 or her latest release Good to Love.
Zayn Malik - I never listened to One Direction, but Zayn's Mind of Mine has been on play non stop... I love Wrong, Drunk, and of course Pillowtalk.
Rihanna - Anti dropped this month and I have been loving this LP! I love most of Rihanna's recent work and my faves from Anti includes Woo, Consideration, and and Yeah, I said it. Can't wait for the World tour in May

Always on my mind...

This month I have decided to start a 90 day no buy. My makeup collection and closet is out of control!!! I want to spend my money traveling and I also plan to buy a house later this year so I need to get it together! I am also going to allow myself one purchase a month to give myself a little room to mess up. I have faith that I can do this though. I really need to use all the lovely products I already own and actually wear the outfits I have put together in my head.

I also picked up an activity Journal to help further my self awareness journey. It's called the The Book of Me and I got it from Barnes & Nobles. At first glance, the idea of an activity journal can seem kind of time consuming and corny, but I think this will help me gain perspective, which I am always looking for. This book is supposed to help with self reflection from a past, present and future standpoint by asking tons of probing questions. The plan is to do finish this journal by the end of the year...
