Even though Sunday is followed by Monday, it is still one of my favorite days of the week. Typically, I don't leave my bed on Sunday (except for maybe brunch), but this past Sunday was Father's Day and my niece was christened so I took a little time to pull together a makeup of the day to show you all.
For this look, I randomly pulled some items I have been wanting to use more and a real throwback palette that I have always loved. I actually really enjoy the Morphe 35B, the pigmentation is pretty impressive for the price. The Urban Decay Deluxe shadow palette is really nostalgic for me because it was the first palette that made me fall in love with makeup. As you can see it is WELL loved. I was so excited to have it at the time. These days, I still use this palette because of the memories and the colors are actually amazing and have good quality.

Hi Y'all!
I thought it would be fun and interesting to share what I carry around with my in my bag. I did a post a few months back on what I keep in my on the go make up bag, but this one is a lot more simplified because a lot of items aren't carried in my bag on an everyday basis . I literally don't even have a wallet because I find them too heavy.
Before Liquid Lipsticks came along and became super popular, there was matte lipstick.
Just regular old matte lipstick.....
So, I have no explanation for this latest shopping trip. I went in for water and came out with new makeup and once I went to one store I figured I would just keep going because why stop at this point! I'm sure someone knows where I'm coming from....
If you've been with me for a while... you know that I love love trying new products.
Lately, I have found myself a bit overwhelmed with the amount of new products that I need to try out so I decided that for the next couple of months I am going to shop my Stash and pull out some of my much beloved products.
Summer is the time to really experiment with color and bright blush. So this month I plan to focus on some of my older beloved palettes and blush products I've been sitting on.
May is one of my favorite months because the weather starts to warm up and I get to pull out my sun dresses and sunglasses. My makeup routine also changes drastically. I love to wear pink, coral and orange lips during this time of year and I also wear alot less eyeshadow and foundation. I live in New Orleans and the humidity is unreal so I have to tone down my look a lot. I just want shout out some of the things that I have been loving this month...
Since I had already broken my No buy and found myself in Downtown New Orleans on a sunny Sunday afternoon with one of my good friends. I decided to pop into H&M to pick up some jewelry and stumbled on a beautiful display with all kinds of make up AND a sign that said buy 2 get one free. Of course I had to swatch.
While swatching, I instantly fell in love with two of the products on the display. The eye shadows and the Global Fusion Eye Pot.
I picked up 3 items (See, I am practicing restraint) but I love every single one!
Eye Shadows
According to the H&M website these are described as follows,
"A silky, blendable eye color, applies easily and stays put for a vivid, velvety finish. 0.07 oz."
I picked up two colors Ginger Snap (a slight shimmery bronze) and Sharp as Mustard (a green with gold duochrome). As you will see in the swatches below, these are soooo pigmented. They are also really long lasting. The awesome thing about these is that they are $6.99 a piece. I can't really speak to any other formula than the shimmery shadows, but I love these.

Global Fusion Eyepot in "My Two Cents"
This was by far my favorite product. This is a super pigmented cream color base. Apparently it's limited edition, but OMG the texture was amazing. Like Colourpop, but much easier to work with and build up in my opinion. These can be worn alone or layered under an eyeshadow for a base. I wore these on a day date that included outside activities and it lasted the WHOLE day without any creasing I'll insert a picture of me wearing the eyepot alone....so gorgeous!
I would recommend these eyeshadows to anyone who is looking for great products at a drugstore price point. I can't even lie. I definitely went back to H&M the next week and picked up three more items that I have also have not been disappointed with. My top pick is definitely the Global Fusion EyePot. The formula is so unique and pigmented, if you can find these get all of the colors!
Comment below if you have tried out H&M makeup line and let me know your thoughts on these products. Also Share this on Facebook and Twitter.
