Since I've moved to Baltimore, I have seriously been trying to curb my spending. Besides bills and the basics, I have been so disciplined when it comes to not buying random things. But Y'all....
Makeup doesn't count right?!
Ulta recently had two sales that I couldn't pass up. 10X points for Platinum members and a 20% off coupon. I also picked up a few other things that I've been wanting to try out. Plus fall is coming and I needed to re up on concealer, which is definitely my most replaced makeup item. So technically, this haul is just a prep for fall.
Keep reading to see what I picked up and in most cases my first impressions!
Urban Decay AllNighter Foundation (Ulta | $40.00)
When this product
initially launched, I thought that it would be to heavy of a coverage for me so
I totally skipped it. But, about a month ago my friend Dana wore this to our
friends Bridal shower and it looked absolutely gorgeous on her and lasted in the
heat so I decided to go ahead and give it a try. This stuff is like ultra full coverage and it oxidizes, but I still really love it. I purchased shade 11.5, it goes on light af and was kind of scary, but oxidizes within about 10 minutes to fit me perfectly. In my opinion, this is not an every day foundation, it works well for special occasions and photographs really good. I would buy it again though
Inglot AMC Eyeshadows and Freedom System Palette (Ricky's NYC | $7.00 - $15.00)
A few months ago I was able to try out Inglot eye shadows and fell all the way in love. Ricky's had a sale where a bunch of their products were like, no lie, 90% off, so I decided to pick up a few more neutral and shimmer shades. These eye shadows are nothing short of amazing! Not only do they blend like a dream, they are pigmented without being over the top, which makes them perfect for every day wear for me. Regular price they are 7 dollars and totally work it. Check out my post HERE for a more in depth look at this formula.
I also got a few blushes and palettes to hold them in. The Freedom System Blushes are a new product to me, but I'm very intrigued by these. They swatch well and have a smooth non chalky texture. The pigment, like the eye shadows, aren't overpowering so these will fall into my every day make up routine nicely.

NARS Soft Matte Concealer (Ulta | $30.00)
All of my favorite beauty gurus have raved about this concealer for months, so when I saw that Ulta had 10X points on all NARS items, I decided to try this one out. I kind of had to eyeball the color so I hope that Amande works out for me.
IT Cosmetics BYE BYE Pores (Ulta | $24.00)
So let me say this, I kind of collect loose powder. My favorite being the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, so I am curious to see how this hold up to that. I hopes its better and doesn't dry out my under eye area that much, The reviews on this powder is really good, so I'm hoping this will help with my textured skin issues.
Becca Velvet Blurring Primer (Ulta | $38.00)
I've been in the market for a new high end primer for a minute. The Smashbox Photo Finish primer had been my go to for like the past year, but I really want something that is going to really smooth and blur my skin. The reviews I read said that this primer blurs, minimizes pores and perfects the skin, which is what I am looking for. I'm going to bring this on my Labor Day trip and report back how it worked out for me soon.
Nyx Cosmetics Luv Out Loud Liquid Lipsticks (Ulta | $6.99)
So whenever Nyx drops a new lip product, I need to have it. These liquid lipsticks were released to commemorate every attribute that Nyx finds beautiful, which is a really cool concept in my opinion. I picked up two colors Fearless (grey tone purple) and Extraordinary (Fuchsia Purple) and as you'll see in the swatches these are so pretty. I was able to wear both colors and they seem to be the exact same formula as the Nyx Liquid Suede Liquid Lipstick (post), which I personally love. They lasted fairly long and were not drying at all.I must admit, I was expecting a more traditional ultra matte liquid lipstick formula, ans these can be described as having more of a velvety texture. Don't get me wrong now, I don't hate them, I just wish Nyx would have gave us something unique and different. If you don't like the Liquid Suede formula, you won't like these AND if you own any of the Liquid Suede lipsticks you can pass on these unless one of the colors speaks to you.
